Description

This is Elgin cathedral and it makes an interesting contrast with my pic posted on Jan 26th of Inverness cathedral entrance. Thanks Sheila for the link to Undiscovered Scotland, I also note that the Wiki entry has some engravings showing how the complete building looked. I shall return and go inside and also climb the steps to the top of the tower.

http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/elgin/cathedral/ I think it's an awful shame it had such an unlucky history and appears to have been so unloved. I love Gothic architecture like this!
