The last ship... leaves the ramp in Szczecin shipyard..673 in history... Shipyard formally cease to exist June 6... "Fesco Vladimir''is 184 m long and 25.30 m wide.

Its sad to see any great shipyard close, I remember many years ago when I saw a report about the last shipyard in Scottland or was it Ireland, anyway it was sad to see a whole area that depended on that industry end, I guess in the long run if the world moves closer together its a good thing, but I'm not sure how the world can come closer together when places that can build craft to bridge the gap between countrys are lost.

And so, even Eastern Europe is affected by cheap products in a well known Country in the East! I to, remember the Scottish (and Irish) shipyards closing or shrinking at least. Wonderful picture. Piece of history. Remember it, my friend. Sad. It may not EVER happen again. Rob.
