I have always called this type of tree - a bread tree. But alas, I am told that it is a sausage tree. Interesting either way. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for your comments. Dana P

What a fascinating sight! I've never seen such a thing. I looked it up, and the pictures I found of a sausage tree match yours, so I can only agree with the designation. (No prior experience at all!) What a great shot ... you'll have me thinking about this for a while!

oh! Wow! mother nature sure has a sense of humour doesn't she..this is fantastic..I've never seen anything like it...just can't help myself..what is that other plant on the upper branch that seems to be growing on the main middle tree trunk????it looks interesting too...
