Description

Time stands still for no man.... hmmm... or does it? Time is always relevant. Haven't you ever been working on something that seemed to take only a few minutes and when you checked your reality clock, you realized that perhaps an hour or two had passed. What you were doing during this period was meditating. So you see... you don't have to have a mantra, watch a candle flame or fade into nothingness to meditate. All you do is become fully focused in the moment and release your busy thoughts. As you practice your meditation, you will find yourself relaxing and every once in a while... just once in a while... you will sense that you are floating in the nothingness. That is when you have moved into the gap... that gap between each moment of time. Today is a good day for us to practice a new way of being. Today is a good day for us to practice the art of relaxation. As we begin our practice, we are working on establishing a new habit. At first we have to practice, then it becomes a habit and finally is becomes a way of being. Relaxing the mind and body helps us to open ourselves to our greater good... it helps us to realize that we can and will move into that space where our Greater Good is waiting for us. By practicing our techniques of relaxation, it will seem that the world around us has changed. Our surroundings haven't changed... we have... we have changed how we perceive our life experience... we have expanded the envelope our comfort zone. How divine. How simply divine. your fractal visualizes what meditative consciousness does to time & matter...it lets it melt & morph & move & dance & dissolve. Coming from a heavily meditative tradition, I often have to encourage people—as you write—that "formal" meditation is only one way to achieve real meditation, that we reach mediation through our will to find it inside us, not through how we sit or what mantras we repeat. (The mantra is actually a seed of many meanings; but we can unearth it without saying or repeating anything; bliss, dance, peace, radiance are all mantas, and experiencing them is mantric by themselves.) Your central 'figure'—that modulating 'vortex'—moves & morphs into space, and seems to set your whole piece into motion. And that's what it feels like deep inside. When I was meditating heavily, I saw whole universes morph & move like this, until I realized it was no more than lights moving, and the world was a vast gown moving with those lights. I think I'm saying what you're saying, or I'm close; and your art portrays it as if you'd photographed the interior itself. Amazing how your art portrays & expands your written feelings & how it dances to what you write. More beauty from you, gayle...
