Description
Shiva Reece originally was training to be a sensate, a professional pleasure-giver, when she changed her mind and joined the military to go into the fleet, like her older sister, Kali. But when they discovered she was an empath, she was shunted into special forces.
She does not talk about her years in the special forces. For one thing, most of it is classified. But when pressed (which can be dangerous) she simply says that she had to do things that no one sensitive to human emotions should have to do.
Those that knew her before the military say Shiva has closed herself off from others, and perhaps the reason she bought the Hard Bargain and began her courier service was because of the long travel times through space, where she can be away from the river of emotions called civilization.
