Description

Here is a close-up of the main crater of Irazu Volcano. With an elevation of almost 3.5 Km(10,000 ft) it can get pretty cold there, with even frost being found during the coldest times of the year. The foothills of the volcano are known for having some of the most fertile soil in Costa Rica with large amount of potatoes and other vegetables produced. If you ever come to Costa Rica try to escape for one day and visit beautiful and cool Volcan Irazu. You can drive all the way up to the crater.
