In early June 2008 we escorted a funeral in southern Tennessee. We were told there would be a "short" distance of traveling on gravel....we were on motorcycles. That "short" distance turned out to take 1 hour and 20 minutes.....and turned into a dirt road that had an uphill 90 degree turn. We made it to the country cemetery without losing one bike...but...none of us was thrilled about going BACK the way we came in now that the 90 degree turn would be downhill! We were told about a "shortcut" back to the highway.......this is why they didn't bring us in this way......it involved crossing the conjunction of 3 streams.......with just a concrete pad UNDER the water.......we got a little wet but not one bike went down!
