Description
A section of the famous U.S. highway as it passes through desert areas of Arizona and New Mexico. Done in Vue 6 Infinite with some minor postwork in Photoshop. Terrain materials by Monsoon and from Vue. Road from Dosch Design. Vehicles from DMI and Daz.

looks great, but you need a sensation of speed...add some speed blur in photoshop on the vehicles.

I recognize the region which you are trying to immitate. The cliffs in that region are stratified, with about half of the layers being red sandstone. There should also be a gentle slope toward the buttes and the highway should have 3 lanes (one lane each way and a passing lane). The speed limit should be 55 or 65, depending on time period. The ground is the right color, but the texture looks like sand - it should be hard packed dirt. The sajuaros are usually a lot farther apart, though they can look this dense from a distance because of their size. The sky is perfect. To someone who is not from Arizona, this would probably be very convincing.

No wonder there's no motion blur...It's only a 25 mph speed zone...No one is moving. Cool scene, though. Looks really nice.
