On June 9th 1982 the Israeli Air Force blew the Syrian SAM-sites in Bekaa Valley, practically annihilating the Syrian Air Force in the process, to my knowledge this was the first operational use of F-16's, not to mention probably the biggest Wild Weasel mission on record.
