Description

This is based on the dream I was experiencing when I woke up in the surgery recovery room three weeks ago from today. I had to get it into an image because it was so vivid. I found it comforting to be surrounded by my favorite plants and hear birdsong all around me during that stressful time. Thank you all for your comments, emails, well wishes, favorites, visits to my gallery, understanding, and patience. I will return to the galleries this week to catch up on as much as I can. We take so much for granted in our daily lives--or at least I do--and I am here to tell you, I'm grateful to be healing and intend to live life to the fullest when I'm able. So, my dear friends at Renderosity, this one is dedicated to all of you. Merry Spring! : ) v4 upside down hair by parrotdolphin (in the free section here) Various plants by Lisa Buckalew at Daz; Esha, Transpond, Deerpath, and Traveler at RuntimeDNA, and a free dogtooth violet by Toucan. Hope I didn't leave anyone out. Rendered in Daz, Background created in Vue, some postwork in the Gimp.

A very beautiful work. It reminds me of course of 'Ophelia' by Sir John Everett Millais which was based on a Shakespeare character. The situation is different - and more hopeful, though. I love the style.

Cathy, you may be on to something here - "General Anaesthetics for Artists - release all your artistic inhibitions" :o)) (not that you need it...) Wonderful image - you've captured the feeling of suspension beautifully. Glad to hear you're on the mend.

Whatever medication they had you on, it apparently worked for your creativity. I guess those 19th century French poets were on to something. Not that I would recommand it, or that you normally need it - you are quite creative enough without enhancers. I love this picture, so beautiful and vivid! I can see how such a dream would bring you comfort. Thank you for sharing this with us.

The colors are fantastic ... what a vivid dream!! All the creatures in the vision fly ... the bird especially seems tied to you in meaning. Serenity reins here! It seems it was a vision to inspire you to appreciation life to the fullest, as you said, when you are able to. The bird would also seem to suggest that when this dream comes to an end, a different journey will start. Beautiful, inspirational piece that has been brought to life so well. Excellent!!!
