Description


Mummy Cave in Canyon del Muerto, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, located within the Navajo Reservation in Northeastern Arizona. Built around 1200 A.D. Human activity in this region has been traced back to 2500 B.C. This picture was taken in the mid 1990s and later scanned. Astonishing! Simply mind boggling and this pov you have is accenting that feeling greatly. Is there access to the ruins or only a view? Is there a link you know of with more information? I think the Hohokams have a similar time frame in history only they were flat-landers. Truly amazing photo.
