Description

Icelanders are severely hit by the current global financial crisis and whenever I go to Iceland, I realise how dedicated the country is to the well-being of its inhabitants, living under harsh weather conditions and having to import most of their goods. This photo is for this courageous and fascinating people. It was taken last summer a few miles off Grundarfjörður, a growing fishing community on the northern coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Our friend and wonderful Vue artist Stolta from Renderosity lives there...behind that ancient volcano in the middle of the photo!

I would like to say a special 'thank you' for all those among my friends and visitors here, who left a comment on what I had written under my last post here. I was sometimes moved to deep emotion as I read your wonderful and comforting words of support and sympathy. I am trying to message everyone, and none of you will be forgotten...
