My name? Eric den Biesen, a Canadian of Dutch ancestry. I'm 46 years young, though I sometimes feel MUCH older. I generally like to model in trueSpace, though I'm learning Carrara and Hexagon as well. Not much free time for it, so anything I'm building progresses REAL slowly. :( I like to illustrate my tales of the Imperium with Poser and/or Bryce, or that story's prequel, Siren's Song, the story of the Human/Mer first Contact. Neither story is more than outline, and bits are told through the pics I do. And because it's fun, of course. :)

Looking real good. What program are you using? Try www.Navweapons.com it has pictures of lot of naval weapons.

weren't the jolly tars supposed to go down with the ship?...;) Likes it, has a symmetry and cleanliness of lines that other models lack...;) j/k...;) Remember the 3rd rule of the Navy; if you can't pick it up...paint it..;) (1st - if it moves, salute it 2nd - if it doesn't move, pick it up...;)

VERY cool! It's looking better and better! Don't forget the top hatches and doors! Of course, that might be done with texturing, and displacement maps, and maybe done faster than modeling. At least MY modeling! LOLOLOLOLOLOL

don't forget to try and uv map and set up material zones as you go along. when something is modeled and will only be sculpted, transformed, etc., it can be better to UV map before things get kind of wild.
