Description
Another one rendered a little while back and never posted because I just couldn't get happy with it. The concept was based on a 2D illustration I did more than...well, a while back. Though it doesn't look anything like the illustration I did, I kept the basic feel of what I was trying to achieve with an airbrush...yeah, the real kind that has no "undo" keystroke, was fidgety to use and had to be cleaned after every spray. I can't believe I actually made a living with the *%#@*^! thing.
Anyway, I think I may keep trying to get close to the real thing. Any 3d modelers out there that are familiar with the Traveller Roleplaying game of the 80's and feel like modeling a 200 ton Free Trader? (grin)

Isn't CG great? No more need to clean that airbrush, only thing is it's a bit tricky to do a mural on your car, with photoshop :) Great sci fi scene!!

I certainly remember Traveller - never played it. Good sci-fi scene. I have thought before that some of the Traveller ships would make good 3d models.

Seen "Traveller" but never played it. I always thought it was a good concept for a RPG though. Nice work on the picture, and at least this time you didn't have to clean your airbrush nozzles.

I have a friend who's already got a Beowulf class trader modeled. I've badgered him to do a Poser port, but it ain't happened yet. He's also done a model of my Alexandria class free trader that I designed for FASA's Adventure Class Ships Vol.1 It's pretty sweet.
