wow! One image before 500, and you've knocked my senses out with this one! I'm sometimes off with your images, but the middle 'lexicon' appears almost Ojibway or at least Native American; and it has pictograms as well as definitions—amazing choice. Plus you have images that appear Pacific Northwest or Mayan/Aztec. And some other images (top right & left) that appear Central American as well, except the alphabets look almost early Greek or Cyrillic of some sort. Your fish & claws & hand skeleton with tweezers (?), etc, have that logic that works wholly within the work, and seem inexplicable if taken out of the work, and it looks like you have some ancient discus throwers at bottom (again Central American or early Greek, the kind celebrated by Pindar...) What an eye-popping collection, always provocative, always fun, and always with layers of history & mystery (I just rhymed!), and it seems like you have sign-language symbols and that great sign on top about choosing more precise 'names' for your images? Really compelling work, Mandi. Congratulations on almost 500! I love this thing!
