This is a big subject for me. Is there a seed attached to that feather and waiting to come out to fly in the air as a process of dispersel. If it is , there is a similar species in my place , we call it "oldman's beard". It was so funny to chace a floating oldman's beard when I was small. Well, every children does that. I remember the fight in the class room, children will screem for it. But I haven't seen a sigle one for a long time, for many years. One day I took my bike and went in search for this plant in many open bushy places, My idea was to take a seed and plant it in the garden. But I did not find one, till this day. Then one day as I was sitting on my bed I saw an old man's beard gently comming through the window, I screamed. Everybody in the house came to see it. My sister was alo happy to see it. But tragic struck, I was holding it so gently, a strong wind outside sucked the air from the room.................. What a surprise You gave me! Thank You.
