That is a gorgeous macro composition. Wow! The green background it is laying on is a perfect compliment. All those veins are so fascinating. Beautiful work, Helle.

the details are striking, and yes it's reminiscent of Tim (a master with this and the other forms he works with), and I agree with suzanne that the green background sets the leaf off well. (I also like the texture of the background.) The stem has a sheen and sinewy look in this macro, and the leaf segments are like a city seen from the air, or a landscape broken up by farmland & terraced areas...I tried commenting on this 3 times, hope you didn't get 40 ebots (!) I'm having problems again with the site & favs, etc. (Hope this comes across. I'll check it later to be sure it did.) Hope Tim sees it too: He deserves all the bows anyone wishes to give him...

Whoo-hooo that is one sweet leaf! Thanks ever-so for the nod in my direction, but this is fer'shure your style, I do like your interpretation on these; this one works very well with that green and the vanishing dof. I like the crisp leathery look you can pull out of these; very cool.
