Been awhile since IÂ updated this, so here goes.
I am a published journalist and role-playing game writer, and I've gone "pro" with my CG art over the last year or so as well. While I've been writing for about 20 years now, the art's still fairly new to me.
Most of the art you'll find is either of my own intellectual properties, or art I've created for other companies and clients.
IÂ like "big"Â science fiction epics, RPG-related stuff, pin-up art and just plain good work of any kind.
I'm not here as much as IÂ used to be, as the art aspect of this has grown from hobby to professional work, taking a good chunk of my time. But drop me a site mail and I'll get it if you have any questions.

"Well we could certainly use a pizza run to Proxima Centauri, been dying for an large pie with extra pepperoni." Love your work and that back story is pretty hot! Thanks for posting. Cheers!

Excellent work !!

Story and image are great! Wonder what the crew will do, now that the ships is becoming more 'popular' if that is the correct word for the situation!

Very nice. I agree that the Hard Bargain should be a bit larger. I would also add some greebles to make it look better. I got some free greebles at www.scifi3d.com. ps. I like the cockroach-look of the Hard Bargain.

Nice work on this sci-fi scene. Very good lighting and composition.

I think it would be much larger in size, too. It has a fairly good-sized crew and at the present size, I'd think they would have trouble finding even enough room for themselves. As for the looks, I hadn't thought of it looking like an inject before, but now that it has been pointed out, I can't get that out of my head. I'd like to see more geebles on it, too. Streamlined space ships come off as unrealistic to this viewer. Love the hanger deck, though. Backstory is very interesting. The lights seem to be doing their job. I'm not familiar with them, so have no idea what they are supposed to do that is different from any other lighting. Things are not hidden in deep, dark shadows, so I'd say they were worth the money.

Thanks guys! She has a crew of five, and two robots. And except for the cargo hold, she's supposed to be fairly spartan. But she is a bout 25% too small here. But kibaretto's hanger isn't very big, and even with that I dropped everyone and everything to 50% of its normal size to get this look. I want to up the bump on that hull pattern, but no greebles. One of the things that set it apart from human-made ships. Originally, when I first designed her when I was 13 (back in 1987), she was supposed to function like the Millenium Falcon, but have a look similar to the old Buck Rodgers and Flash Gordon rocket ships. The first Hard Bargain was made out of Space Legos.

Oooh, very nice. I love the reflections -- it's a nice little touch that turns the scene from generic-futuristic into something really special. Well -- that and the Hard Bargain herself. grin The story stuff is great as ever. A lovely tease. Really wanna see this story!
