Description

Erica (heaths or heathers) is a genus of over 700 species of flowering plants in the family Ericaceae. The English common names "heath" and "heather" are shared by some closely related genera of similar appearance and I have only one of them and it has grown rather large over the years, it's one of my favorites. I would like to thank everyone that have given me comments on my pictures, it's a real pleasure belonging to a community that share the same photographic interests, diversity is a wonderful thing.

Oh man ... this is gorgeous!! I love being able to see how some of the flowers are open and some are still budding out. And the light!! Wow. My friend, you've outdone yourself with this one. Beautiful image!
