Hello. My name is Kevin and I am from the state of Michigan in the U.S. and was born December 16, 1965. I work in a small metal parts factory in Shelby, Michigan. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, thunderstorms, photographing landscapes and nature and creating digital art. I use software such as Terragen, Bryce, Carrara, DAZ Studio, Painter, Photoshop, and Poser.
I first got into photography at the age of 12 years old and now I shoot in both 35 mm and medium format 6x6. My favorite films are Fujichrome Velvia and Kodak HIE Infrared film. Now I am getting into digital photography and own a Canon Digital Rebel.
I also enjoy listening to music and enjoy progressive rock to heavy metal ( particularly symphonic heavy metal). I am inspired by the music of many bands such as Asia, Hawkwind, The Moody Blues, all the way to bands like Arcturus, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, Nightwish, and Tidfall. Music influences my work.
I enjoy viewing other artists work here on Renderosity and am inspired by most of them.

This has some great color & lighting. Nice snow work. If you could lift the camera/pov some & point it down a little more on the surface, it might give it more of a 3D feel, rather than a 'lying on the ice' pov. I think if you cropped it a little shorter to showcase those red hot mountains, it could be even more beautiful. Well done!

Love the snow surface, and have to agree with Angel, POV will give it a more 3d view. I used to do this too, so I know it takes time ... to figure out just the right POV...
