A beautiful photo, Helle! The white one is new to me. We have had a springlike weekend, and today is lovely but still a little too chilly!

Oh helle, I have several of your images yet to see, but before I leave for the morning (it's almost 9 a.m. here), let me at least see this one. This is one of your most beautiful flower images of late, and that's saying a lot because you've been doing wonderful flower images in the last number of weeks. To me, big clumps of flowers—close together, growing in a 'group'—seem hard to capture or paint, because there's so much visual activity packed into one place, its easy to overdo or underdo them. But you seemed to have picked just the right light & shade & focus & lack of focus, as if you caught this out of the 'air': It seems 'thought' onto paper as much as photographed. It's beautiful...And the background leaves are gorgeously seen, soft-focussed in the right balance, and your ornaments—I think I've only seen them very recently—are really beautiful, something you'd see in 19th C. prints & decorative arts, and before. (It also feels a little like the calligraphy in Oriental ink paintings—where the calligraphy actually looks like leaves & plants.) A soft introspective greenish-blue, and you pick it up in your frame too. Wonderful. A great way to start the spring. I'll get to the rest in the coming days, but when I saw this, I just had to stop....
