Description

On the evening of the 3rd December 1926, 36 year old Agatha Christie disappeared from her home and went missing - leaving her car abandoned on the edge of a cliff. No one knew where she was and there was great speculation in the press 'The Disappearance of a Famous Woman Novelist' and a huge manhunt took place, with some people fearing the worst. However, 11 days later she was identified as a guest at the Swan Hydropathic Hotel in Harrogate, Yorkshire, registered as Mrs Teresa Neele and having travelled by train from London, probably on the LNER. Christie never gave an account of her disappearance. Doctors diagnosed her as suffering from amnesia but opinions still vary as to the reasons for her disappearance. One suggestion is that she had argued with her husband, having discovered he was having a affair with another woman... also called 'Neele'. Agatha Christe took the truth with her to her grave - perhaps her greatest mystery of all. Produced in Daz|Studio and Photoshop. All props from Renderosity and Daz. I remember taking trips to Petticoat Lane in trains like this, of course Dr. Beeching put a stop to that. Wonderfully rich in color and mood, this is a trip down memory lane for me. Nice work my friend.

A splendid image to have you upload and share with all of us. Glad to see you posting again, my friend. Missed your work for the past several months time; altho I have visited your new gallery on the Web. The sunset lighting streaming thru the passenger car and shining on the woman and the wood panels gives a sense of melancholy...seemingly derived from the woman clutching her breast somewhat as she looks out the window perhaps seeing views and other things she once remembered from the past.

Excellent image. The way her head is thrust forward tells she's thinking about something besides scenery. And whatever it is, it's not going to be pleasant or easy. Glad to see more of your work.

A joy to see a new creation of yours, Peter! The interior lighting is fantastic. It really shows off the depth of the different objects' textures.Great sense of movement, but to where? Is she going home or away from home? Perfect title for this, too.

That is really different for you. The scene seems simple but one can see a lot of work went into crafting the delicate details, such as the blurred scenery and reflections on the window. As always your works are worth waiting for and I look forward to your new direction.
