Description

Close to Dunedin I took a photo of this unusual boulders. To quote from: http://www.moerakiboulders.com/ "They originally formed in ancient sea floor sediments during the early Paleocene some 60 million years ago." This was a really overcast day, so I did change the sky. Thank you for looking, aleks

At first I thought the low lying forgroud rock was the body of some huge 4 legged beast that had been partially buried in the sand. These rocks are mind-blowing in their beautiful formation, and again Aleks you show your unique eye for capturing magic in landscapes that others would just walk by.

This is one of the nicest photos I have seen of these boulders, they have really come up well. I think it is the angle you have taken them from. Beautiful capture.

What an unusual and magnificent sight to behold Aleks! This is one fabulous capture, and I can see why it is sooooooo popular, being as your photography and presentation is of such superb quality, and not a scene we would see every day. Thank you for such a beautiful and interesting photo, hugs Jane xx

those boulders are so incredibly great! they make me think of the different stories i've read of ancient beings taking on the forms of rocks. i definitely expect them to come alive some day in the far future. nice choice of sky.
