Description

I'm reading a series of books by Robert Jordan called The Wheel of Time. I read the prequel, book 1 and am book 2, 'The Great Hunt'. This image is inspired by the books. I would like to thank everyone for all your kind and generous comments on my work. It means much to me as I am so hard on myself. You give me confidence. I wanted to render this lady in Poser but I couldn't get the lights the way I wanted them for the scene. It's just easier and quicker for me in Vue but I love the Firefly render engine that Poser has, and Black Rain & Tantarus shared render settings with me that make for an awesome render in Poser. I'll get it right in Poser someday, lol. Credits: 5D art, Mav headpiece, Uweg horns, NVIAR helmet, RDNA freebies, Mandy, Valkyrie, Zenia. Aery-Soul's Classic Fantasy armor

I think this looks Awesome! I'm wondering if I can port stuff I make in C4D to Vue and get this great look with my characters. I have utils to put chars in C4D but they come out with weird distortions; elongated fingers and such, and their posing movements are very limited. Poser is cool and all but I'm more about the scenes where the characters will be put. I do have Vue (some version or other) but am not very familiar with all its bits. When I got it I had just gotten C4D and it was love at first click. lol! So perhaps I should give Vue another go. If you have any pointers . . . . :^) Btw, I read a Robert Jordan "Conan" book and it's the only Conan not written by Robert E. Howard that I thought was anywhere near the original in plot content and writing style. Yeah, he's pretty good and I'm a fairly harsh critic of writers (having tried it myself. lol!) Again, this lady looks Way bad (in a good way, hehe)! Congrats on a Fine render.

Great character you've put together here. While I think the lighting is better than what you would have gotten in poser, if you used a point light and shut off shadows and ray tracing on the staff you might get something similar. I wouldn't mind seeing what the poser version of this would look like some day regardless.
