A great St. Paddy's Day display, Kathleen. After a Eucharistic service on the 17th, we gathered in the wee church hall and had a party / ceileidh for the 60 or so hardy souls up for it. A quick respast of buttered soda bread and cheese on oatcakes, washed down with Scottish tea, was followed by the obligatory Gaelic Coffee. Then onto some lively Scottish and Irish songs and dancing. Although only one of our parishioners, a young 89 year-old, has full Scottish blood, going back to the 1780s in her, all our guests, whether of Italian, Maltese, Indian, Nigerian, Ghanaian, Philipino, Latvian or Polish were all willing to be adopted Irish for the day..;o) Erin go bragh! or words to that effect.. Warm regards, John.
