Description

Dear friends, weekend is coming soon and that feels good! This is one of the rare winter`s pics from Berlin, taken at the 13th January 2009. Winter in Berlin is very rare in these days and I was lucky to get some snapshots with ice (and snow, too) this season. The river Spree was frozen this day, it was very cold and an ice-breaking ship had broken up the ice one day before and created a carpet of icy diamonds as seen here. Dark clouds came up at the horizon and I hoped for snow.... The two towers are near my flat and they are my private weather station and my photography laboratorium: They change their face every day, reflecting the clouds, the sky, the weather....so I take a pic at every beginning of a photo tour. I have dozens... The missing links in my collection are lightnings, a sandstorm, a twister, an crashing airplane or a heavy fire.....Beware! Hope you enjoy this pic. Comments are always wellcome. Let's hope you don't have to see a plane crashing into the building near you. I just wanted to say thank you for all the pictures you post of Berlin. You give a view of a place that I personally know very little about. A nice history lessson. Thank you for sharing.
