Description

She is the quintessence of life itself. She is mother, mate, bride and lover. With the dawn of each new day, she greets her lover, the sun and sky, greeting him with loving eyes and an embrace that would make the most chaste of lovers blush. Unabashedly showing her love of all life around her. She is Gaia, Earth Mother, Bright Goddess, Wood Mother, Isis Veiled, the Green Mother...sustainer of us all. Mother Earth. Whatever her name of guise - She is to be worshiped, cherished, loved, protected and revered. Around her are her most loyal and closest companions -- the buck -- strength, virility and power. The fawn -- youth, childhood, innocence and naive love. The eagle -- wisdom, farsight and her connection to the Sky Father with whom she shares her love and worship. Treat her tenderly, for she is not nearly so powerful as once she was. Her verdant fields plowed asunder, plundered and ravaged by thoughtless, careless beings who thought their dominion was over her. But her blessings are offered to those who still pay homage to her, respect and revere her. She is Earth, Tera, and Mother to us all. ~~~~ First in a four part series (possibly five) representing the catalytic elements of life - Earth, Wind, Fire, Water (and possibly Metal). Each a Goddess in her own right, as my gallery nears the milestone of 200 images.
