I can't speak for others, but having no real firsthand knowledge of everyday survival in your part of the world, I am instantly sucked in by even the smallest of details in your shots. Thankfully for me, you pack a great deal of details in each one and I am excited every time you post one of these photos. This one tells me the beach drops off very close to shore which is probably why fishing with nets from the sand is an option at all. The bucking of the beached boat requires team work so more than one person probably would have trouble benefiting from a boat this size...if one had a boat and used it by themself, it would need to be much lighter and smaller. Outstanding shot.

Mrs.Lubner you have said everything. There is nothing left for me to say. your presumtion is perfect. The shore is very steep and I presume That's why the tsunami didn't affect this part in its full scale. The shock waves must have hit the shore as if hitting a wall. But that was not the case few Kms from here where the shore was shallow waves climbed up to 40ft high with hundreds of casualities. About No: men there will be only two or three men in the boat. Other men are those who reached first helping on a mutual understanding. Other mattersare as you said. My sincere thanks for your encouragements.

Beautiful image filled with excitement and perseverance! Very interesting information by PJ and confirmed by yourself. Their lives must consist of a constant necessity for the use of their sinews and mental alertness. Wonderful capture of the moment, the waves and the solidarity to a purpose! Excellent work!
