Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Camera goddesses? I'd say the male gender of the deities had more to do with the creation of the super macro feature than the females. But that's just biased sexist conjecture on my part. Lovely, almost seductive, color blends and lighting in this capture, Maz.

(tara: "Dream? Shoot ... that woke me RIGHT up!" Yep!) I compared this to O'Keeffe, but now that I'm sitting with it, it's almost a complete abstract; and the yellows could be both flower-hues and light—with your focus they turn the flower into a soft-spun luminous painting. Beautiful work, like you got so close to the flower you saw it dissolve into lights. Makes one want to jump into it. As for your camera goddesses, my muse is a guy named Mel, he smokes cigars, is loud & he's reeeeaaalllllly obnoxious. Be happy you got the winged kinds, they're bringing you Grace...
