Description
I saw this reed piled up against a tree and I thought in would make a nice picture. The photograph has been taken in an area called Biesbosch.

What a great pic! And very interesting too. In England we call this structure a 'stook'. We used to see a lot of stooks of hay and cereal crops, before mechanical harvesting and the 'cotton reels' wrapped with plastic.

What a wonderful image Oskar this activity tends in the UK to go on most now in Norfolk, which is very much like the Netherlands as at one time it must have been attatched to. The harvest is not left as it is shown here these days as the sea defences are too often breached.
