Description

Found this old derelict cottage up on the Yorkshire moors above Settle. Must have been some hard life out there..makes us see how easy we have life today.

It really is hard to imagine living in such a small cottage possibly many years ago. They would have none of our modern day conveniences, and it must have been dreadful in the winter months. As always excellent detailed phototgraphy!! hugs Jane xx

My aunt sold her business in Yorkshire and moved to a crofters cottage in the north of scotland, it had no heating or running water and the chickens, ducks and geese just wandered in or out as they saw fit lol. This reminds me of that place only a with a slightly more problematic issue of the roof that is missing lol.. Excellent lighting and photography.
