As the music comes to an end
In that moment of silence
When we know
This is the last dance
We will ever have together
I think back on everything
You have meant to me
We are souls in this great big universe
That somehow was able to connect
You introduced me to music
That touched my heart
And swayed my thoughts
The gentleness of your touch
And the softness of your way
Made me dream dreams
I still think of you
When I look out my window
And see the big dipper
But this circle
Has made its way around
Come to an end
And my life will forever
Be better
Because you entered into it

This is beautifully done, Randy. The feel of the thing is so poignant, and that in and of itself makes this a wonderful piece. Going back and reading it again, I got pulled into the way you crafted the poem, saying this thing here instead of there ... the way it flows ... excellent!
