It that a flap at the front of the nostril? and besides the nictitating membrane, does that loose skin at the bottom front of the eye also help shield the eye during feeding? or is all this just decorative? She is a gorgeous bird with that natural "boa" around her neck. :-)

Hard to tell if she enjoyed the ball... she appears a little grumpy. Beautiful shot, Danny, you always capture such amazing detail and the background colors certainly add to the sense of sophistication (well named).
