Nice going Erik. It looks like a sub-stream in time, a wormhole. Good texture in the opening. Can you shear it?You should to a closeup scene with one of the ships. Nice work. :)))

Thanks for the comments, sniff - it's okay to make pics that look nice, but I dont like to get them by chance ... I wanted something else (I thought I was near by, but now I know that you can't see what it should be) ... waaah-huhuhu --- THAT IS A SPACESTATION, Form of a Torus, the inner half is glas, the outer half is with the buildings (size for about 3 Million people, so it's very small) with a synthetic sun in the middle of the torus and now a hole for the spaceships ... sniff, sniff ... I have to work this up ... ahm, strata ... what do you mean with "shear it"? Do you mean "Share it"? I would, but the file is about 72MB (17,5MB zipped)-(without textures) - so, maybe you tell me what exactly you want from it? I exclude it then ... and the ships are from one of my last images, where they was better to see, here they are only decoration, I wanted to give the station the look of "absolutly big and large" ... as I said: I work it up till it fits!!! :-)

i think it looks really great, and could tell what it is, mostly. I think the biggest prob you have with recognition is that your angle is so severe. The hole is so large in relationship to the rest of the station that it looks like another structure entirely. Also, i'm not quite getting where the transparency/distortion is coming from... As well, its difficult to get a sense of scale, which i find to be one of the most amazing things in sci-fi. Objects in space are enormous! lets see it! Again, its really beautiful and i cant wait to see the finished piece.
