Must confess, while I have seen pictures of this aircraft, I don't know a lot about it! I would hope that, like the original Supermarine Schneider winner (now at the Science Museum, London), it is preserved for to admire it's great engineering skill. Really though, another death trap on floats! Amazing courage needed to fly it! Great 3-way again, my friend... Thanks for the various 'civil' planes. I live in hope though... Ha! Ha! Rob.

Hullo Geoff, thanks for the series of seaplanes you are producingh. My first posting in the Raf Marine Craft was to Calshot Spit (1956-57) which once was the homebase of the Supermarine Schneider Trophy team. We worked in the shadow of two Saro Princess flying boats which were mothballed there and lived in the accommodation block built for the RNAS. The clothing store once was an aircraft engine shop from WW1 with the very old engine diagrams covering the walls (I think it has been preserved). The whole atmosphere of the place was redolent of seaplanes and flying boats from the first to the last giants which were higher and longer than the hangars built to take 3 or 4 Sunderlands! Keep it up. George

I've never seen this aircraft before. It sure looks like a Scheinder Trophy winner! Great render!

Fantastic = will echo and agree on these seaplanes but also the 1930's era racers - great to see those planes.

Yup, I was always good at breaking records - Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Harry James, they all suffered. this looks to have been a beastie!
