Will get a photo of myself as soon as i find one I like.
Hi I'm Nick
I came from a science background and now work in the software industry (as so many do).
I became interested in photography via a friend (Fred255) and from buying a dslr for doing astronomy stuff (another interest). I soon discovered the joy of using the camera for its intended purpose. I then started to leak cash.
Still very much a beginner, but learning with every shot (especially the failed ones :-)).
Equipment list:
Canon EOS 5D MKII (my pride and joy)
Panasonic LX3
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0L ISÂ USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4
Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L ISÂ USM (my other pride and joy)
Sigma 2x EX DG Teleconverter
Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG Macro
Kenko extension tube set (12, 20 & 36mm)
Manfrotto 055XB Classic with 484RC2.
...and other bits and bobs.

This is a beautiful shot. The angle and everything are perfect and with the darkness of the clouds behind it, it almost seems more like a painting. Good job.

Bravo! I know the NG well, it never looked this good, this postwork system does give a very dramatic feel, and would work extremely well on St Martins in the field close by...Very nice work here!
