Description

Hey everyone, Today after a productive session in the library I decided to take a short break and head to the beach... it was low tide and I must have walked for miles just exploring and inevitably ended up as soaked as usual.. Got a few good ones today I think, and though I can't promise when I'll be able to post, I'll try and squeeze em on here sometime soon ;) Hope you all doing well, have a good evening Adam

Like your POV here with the old post in the foreground. I was once told by a very good landscape photographer that you have to tell a story with a beginning middle and end. IE. Foreground interest middle interest and far interest. You have told the story very well!

Wonderful shot! I do love the ridges formed in the sand by the action of the water.

Exceptional capture. Nasty sky, ripples in the sand, rotting pilings and seaweed. Worth getting wet for a shot like this. Dana P

I like how the vivid green moss POPS out from the dreary background. The ripples really lead my eyes in frame. One (minor) nitpick is the tight crop on the right. To me, that post needs a li'l more "personal" space...just a bit though.

thank you everyone for the comments Joe - thanks for the suggestion, I agree! however this was one of those compositions which would only work from one position... I probably moved the setup position about 5 times before even opening the shutter - thing is, there was something ugly looking thing just to the right of it which spoilt the shot imo.. could have moved a bit further forward and used one of the other pillars as foreground subject but I thought this one was just that bit more interesting ;)
