Description
I have often been asked which of the animals on my gallery are mine, well here I am with them all. My son took the pic of me with the dogs, about just over 3 years ago, when I was 59 and nearing 60, and they were around 18months. Carina is on my left and was 5 yesterday, and her half sister Madelena will be 5 the end of July.
The reason I made this picture was because my mother who as many of you know got Dementia, said how much she would love a picture of all our pets together. This is the picture I put into the book I made her, and with it I wrote a letter telling her of my love for her, but also the names of the pets and to also remind her of me as I know in time she will sadly, more than likely not know me.
The names of the cats are Freddie on your left aged a year in May, Amy who will be 2 in May, and my beloved Mistapus who will be 3 next week.
I am heartbroken that Mistapus has been diagnosed by ultrasound as having Hypertrophic Cariomyopathy of his heart, and has not been given a very good prognosis - he could live for a few short years, but yet again he could be taken from me in just a few short months - I cannot tell you how much this saddens me ...
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments on the card I made Mum for mothering Sunday, it really meant so much to me that you also enjoyed it, and many thanks to those of you who favourited it too. I treasured the moment she opened her card and also the joy she got from the book I made her of my compositions, stories and poems. I anticipated by the next day she would have forgotten, but I am so glad I came up with the idea, as each day it is fresh to her and I can read her the stories and show her the images time and time again for her pleasure...

I know oh to well what your going through my nana had alzheimers now my mum 56 years old and im banging my head to get the medication i dont want to buy it ileagally but if i have to i will such a great idea its good to make a book we had pictures all over the house for nana and names on the door for each room !!

This is so beautiful Jane, I love the colors you chose, it compliments each memeber of your 'family' and yourself as well. The book you've compiled for you Mum must be pure magic, and even though she may forget from day to day, it is as you said, brand new and exciting for her each time you sit and read it with her. Are the pages of the book taken from the work you've compiled here? My heart is aching for you and Mistapus .. I have tears in my eyes as I read the very sad news, and type this. I'm praying for a few more good years, and good quality of life for what time remains for him. {{{Hugs}}}
