Description
An experiment to create a realistic wake has succeeded. Almost no photoshop except to fuzz the edges of the wake. Comments, ideas, criticisms. Have at.

Great evocation of ship's wake, perhaps consider making it a little whiter and maybe widen the wake's angle, unless it's a speedboat tanker!! =) cool idea, and where'd you get the ship model from?

not bad.. I would bring the primary wave off the bows closer to the bow. then a secoundary wave about half way aft on the hull..both in the form of a v..trailing to foam as you have done.. cheers PE

The model is the Texaco Ship downloaded from PlanIT 3D at www.planit3d.com. The mats are 90% mine. (just try to find a good white painted rusty ship material somewhere)

I love that wake....

This is cool - I've spent a bit of time on a big ship and this picture captures that feel - I can almost hear the water rushing past and the muffled beat of the engines - I like it!

If you ask me it is AMAZING !! The fact that you did so little touch up work makes it even better Michael. Great wake !
