Description

A thundercloud outside my back door last evening. I replaced the unsightly building tops and telephone poles with some trees, so went ahead and classified this as manipulation. Thanks very kindly for your views and comments, and also to those who added some as faves.

There is nothing more amazing in nature than a storm and this one looks like the king of storms. I'd love to ride this one out. I love the sound of thunder and feeling it rattle things around me, the howling winds and the driving rain. Guess it comes from living on the Gulf Coast and going through the hurricanes and tornadoes.

What a wonderful thundercloud, and it looks super with the trees rather than houses.

Marvelous contrasts and silhouetting in this shot, Maria! Looks a lot like smoke from our annual wildfires here in California. BTW, I clone stuff like mad in many of my uploads, eliminating this and adding that, but never classify them as manipulations.

Awesome scene and mood !! The thundercloud almost seems to come out of the ground at the horizon. You also did well to remove the building tops and telephone poles. Excellent work ! :)
