Great capture and it makes my mind think of the perspective of this little beetle. Never ending sand! That could be an exhausting view...or it could mean an endless supply of food. :)))

Stunning...insects are always a favorite subject of mine, but I have so few of my own photos to show for that interest. This is a gorgeous shot that must be seen at full size. The sand crystals are beautifully captured, as is the beetle...his serrated mandibles are intriguing, as is the play of light on his carapace. Great work! Funny, too, because he reminds me of one of those spice mining vehicles in the David Lynch film version of Frank Herbert's Dune.
