Description
Don't know why its so named, but this is fresh off the press this morning. B.R Standard 76079 and Stanier Black 5 45407 passing through Reddish (where I live) at about 11.35 heading towards Stockport.

Excellent shot. I might have cropped out the bit of town in the background but that's only because I would have focused more on the train then the scene. Its a great pov!

I wonder if the name has anything to do with the water chanel between the rails, I am not 100% sure but I believe in certain area's they were full of water so that the engine could scoop up water for the boiler so that they didn't have to stop at a water tower. I'm sure somebody will put us right or wrong on that one. I wonder if you will you be going to the 1940's weekend at the ELR in Bury Alan artaddict2 and I will be going on the Saturday. Excellent capture a pretty good pov, I didn't know there was a steam train working that area, my son used to live in Reddish for a couple of years. Superb work. Bravo!!!!! Have you got a flicker page? the name looks familiar.
