Description

A planetoid and its moon orbit a star embedded in a nebula. Such a planet probably will have a tough time, as it'll have to pass through clouds that will strongly affect its orbit. It seems likely it'll eventually get pulled too close to the primary and meet a fiery end. -------- Sorry I've been away so long and haven't been keeping up with everyone's galleries, busy busy busy! I'm also rebuilding an older costume for the upcoming renfest season, so my time is even more limited. This was made in Photoshop, with some use of the random clouds, some pictures of clouds, and some use of the "Lunarcell" plugin from Flaming Pear. Oh, a couple of people have asked about using some of these space scenes in their work, and I'm generally pretty open to this, just drop me a line and let me know, first is all I really ask! Thanks for taking a look.

Very nice! Great job on the nebula as always. But I tihnk that star has to be real close for the shadows on the planet and moon to work out like that.

This is amazingly well done, and I am glad that I'm slowly getting the chance to catch up on things. The nebulosity in the background ranks up there with the real stuff shown to us by HST and the other orbital observatories currently in operation. The colors are fantastic, and very realistic, and I absolutely love the barren world, and yeah, planetary systems embedded in nebulae would have an interesting time of it...not just gravitationally, but also in terms of radiation flux, microparticle bombardment, and gods only know what else. Great, thought provoking work.
