Description

Morning all :o) Whilst sitting out the back the other day this Feral Pigeon was back and forth most of the time flying in with the Wood pigeons .He has now told his mates so now I`m feeding the Squirrels and wild Pigeons aswell lol :o)..These are often referred to as Rats on legs and I`ve just read there is about 80 million of these across europe . Gorgeous light in this pic, and a beautifully sharp portrait! Lets hope he doesn't bring the rest of his flock, it'll cost you a fortune! I think I'd like him to have a bit more space to look into in this pic.

The Rock dove, known in London as the Flying Rat,I used to drop these by their thousands with an air rifle, now I look back I see how wicked that was, they might be a pest, but they have a right to exist, nice warm lighting in this shot Mick.

When I was raising pigeons, I had one in the coop that looked just like this only it had feathered legs and feet. I really love this shot. The eye is alert and the head held with pride.

Great capture Mick! I'm with PJ, I like this shot alot too! I have never seen a feral pigeon, worse yet I assumed that they all were feral! Thanks for straightening this kid out, lol! Btw, I am feeling alot better and hope to be around more now:-)
