BIO-HAZARD
Born in King's Cross,NSW Australia. My parent's were German and split up when I was 12 months old, unfortunately my Father died young, so what ! . I have liked drawing & painting for-ever. When I saw an Amiga 500 with a ray-traced juggler, I was hooked !!! I left High School then joined a Rock'n'Roll band and toured the East Coast of OZ as Road crew. Then I played Lead & Rhythm guitar in my own band's, EASTERN UNDERGROUND(Sydney), FLASHBACK (Noosa), SAXON DOG"S & STEEL RAIN (Gold Coast). I worked as a Cameraman at the Gold Coast Turf Club. And a lot of my "in-between" footage got beamed all over the Planet on Sky Channel, So if you're ever are in a TAB (betting agency Oz style) and see pic's of cloud's, pelican's or chick's tit's then you'll know, it was my footage !  I won a $5,000 scholarship for 3D Animation, at Silicon Studio's Training Center-Brisbane. Did a Multi-Media course at Kingscliff TAFE. Lightwave 8.5 is my choice of weapon, with Poser 6, Vue 6 Extreme and Zbrush 3. One day I will be doing 3D for a living...I hope ! You will find, that most of my art has a weird and twisted sense of humour to it, life's pretty straight without 'twisties' !Â
...Cheers fellow artists...Jeff :o)
UP-DATE:2011...WOOHOO...I made piccy of the day at E-on (Vue) and I'm stoked, my experimentation, persistance and learning new techniques paid off.

Reminds me of that scene in LotR Fellowship. Very cool! Been seeing several people having Vue issues lately. I'd always heard it was ultra stable before now.

I do remember the trials & errors with 'Vue6', no other suggestions, then check with the experts at the forum perhaps !... A very neat presentation, never-the-less, and a great POV again, where do you get it ? Cheers BB

Cool looking image Jeff. You got me unless you tell your computer to reserve resources for Vue may help

..real great fantasy scene

I agree with jdehaven on the LOTR and Argonauts feel to this one. I'd definitely say this one was worth the effort. Perhaps rendering 2 versions, one with and without the cloud, the merging the two in photoshop would work?

Gorgeous Jeff,, Only thing I've found that helps Vue render lockups is to purge memory before you start the rendor. Doesn't always help. But has helped a majority of the time. Now if we can figure out why Carrara 8 and 7 locks up(Black screen total crash) when I try and relocate a imported Poser firgure... Hope the purging helps...

This is a fantastic render Jeff and Im very proud to add this to my Fav collection. Vue and crashes are common place,I have upgraded to quad core and 16Gb ram custom built PC and those problems have gone away, I still prefer Poser.

Fantastic work my friend!!! XCellent!!! Antonio will love this one Jeff!! Be patient, Vue is not easy to use, I have a lot of problems with Vue 7 extreme, but keep on rocking!!!

This is just amazing Jeff. Perfect for one of your animations. I better start working on the Centaur figure, lol !!! Thanks a mill my rock and roll friend. I'll send the new stuff (Draky, The Babe, hercules (vers. 1000)lol ...) very soon now. Instant fav and to the studio wall. VUE is a mess for me too, lol !!!

This is awesome, Jeff. Really catches the Greek mythology feel. Nice use of the Centauro and love that boat. I've had Vue 5 for some time but never really used it. When I got it I had a lesser computer and it would choke on a simple scene so I never really got into it. Now I just upgraded to 7 and it seems to run okay on my new box but I haven't tried putting a complex scene together. You might try checking out the Vue forum. Anyway, as I said, Awesome scene here!

I agree ,really looks like a still from an epic fantasy adventure film.Love the twist on the camera which increases the effect. The scale of the statue again adds more along with the ambience a great all rounder! Thanks cal:)bye
