I am a developing artist working on improving my abilities to create beautiful digital landscape compositions. Without the help and suggestions of the many fellow artists in this community, it would be a long time before I reach the next level.
BIO
I am a retired procurement professional who has long had an interest in photography and painting; and, lately in computers and photorealistic natural landscapes. I hope to become more proficient and perfect my abilities to produce acceptable work. My experience in art started at a very early age when I would spend many hours sketching and painting. I had instruction at The Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. I did some freelance work for Flying Models, Model Airplane News and Top Flite Models creating plans and illustrative construction sequences for magazines and kit models. I had spent more than 20 years designing, building and flying radio controlled model airplanes...a very rewarding hobby for me. During the 1970s, I spent 11 years in the hobby of "bonsai"; the Japanese art of miniature trees. In my first 7 tree entry in a contest, all 7 trees were awarded ribbons in various categories. Japanese landscaping became a passion for me where I completed a 3 year project creating a Japanese landscape around my home in Oak Forest, Illinois. I also did this work for several other people in our community. In 1987 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I currently make my home. The love of the American southwest and all its beauty is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. Now that we have computers, digital cameras; and, Terragen; I'll have enough to do for a long, long time.

Think I like this one better, but I'm a morning person. As long as you are in the mood, a nice night time shot with a moon would be out-standing
rocserum

prutzworks

This is fantastic Bob...but, as you know I'm a contrast freak and think the realism would be enhanced by adding more contrast...it looks great but just seems a bit light or faded on my monitor...I love the view and atmo!

Beautiful Scene....!!!!

Atmo and veg textures are excellent!:)))))

Nice one Bob, I like these clouds better. Fairly much the same as we have rolling through here today. Always keeping an eye on them for reference.

I agree with Prutz- this view gets my vote for even better than the first. I can see a Cessna or Piper Cub soaring right down the river there!
Savage_dragon
Sweet view! I'm getting the same as Mark & I think its our large monitors. Mine is apparently perfectly calibrated, but a lot of the renders look faded. I can tell you this looks great, though. I can really see & appreciate the shadows & texture. I think this is a better view, IMHO. I love the shadows cast by the vegetation. Nice clouds, too. ")
