Close your eyes, take a breath and hit the render button, oh my! ;)
This (very) simple image is a result of my first stumbling journey into poser.
Comments and anything else you wanna throw at me (preferably money or snickers) are more than welcome.
Oh and i would like to take this opportunity to thank the boredom that i am sure was the driving force behind the click that brought you here. ;)

If this is a first attempt you're a natural and a great one at that!! I've been learning Poser for a couple of months and haven't come up with a portrait as delicate and beautiful as the one you have!!! Great work

Love that lighting. This is definitly very good for a first render. I'm also taking my first steps into poser, and I didn't manage to get such a beautiful result. :)

I have to concur. I will add, however, a couple of things... You have hit the nail on the head with trans-mapping. You've chosen great great textures. I would either focus on learning expressions, to enhance the realism you are trying to conjure or work on lighting. The basic tip is to experiment with one aspect at a time. It is the best way to learn Poser. In the mean time, BRAVO!
