It's nice that you used a painterly background (a canvas) because it makes it seem like an old painting from myth or ancient legend...but there's also a fairy tale quality to it, the butterflies and leaves and toadstools all feel like the lush backdrop to an old medieval fairy tale; and the central person looks peeringly at a butterfly free and one encased as if it's going to be free one day. Fine hues, your leaves are rendered like gentle paint strokes, and the flora at the top is rendered almost like bas relief or sculpture. Many textures here, and fine work. thanks for stopping by my gallery...
