Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

i love this one, Bill. The saturation of the green in the foreground goes so well with the buildings. As always, your eye for composition is splendid!

The first thing I noticed about this church was the English influence. Absolutely gorgeous shot.

yes, the saturated green really does make a wonderful foreground for this picture. This has real presence & clarity, and the lights in the grass (the natural accents) and in the bricks make this feel very alive. And your eye for composition really does allow the buildings to relax behind a big swath of grass. Nice choices. Love the light & clarity on this one, just plain fine work. (And thanks for the links & history too. I checked out T.Nash too. I remembered his name from my school studies.)

I agree with PJ, this could almost be rural Licolnshire or another paert of the english countryside, nice dynamic quality to this.

Great shot.. As an Anglican, love the Church. My eye is drawn to the tower-like structure in the middle, behind the house. Your composition brings is out nicely. What is it? Wish I had the groundskeeper there to do my yard. Cheers, mug lifted in your direction this AM. Skipper

Outstandingly colourful! The green looks great brought out. I try to bring it up as well! I THOUGHT the church was familiar. Deb and I used to live just down the road from Maidstone. Often went shopping there! Really nice scene. It'll look brilliant as a whole when the blades are back on the mill. Great work, my friend! Rob.

Beautiful colors and detail Bill!

Dynamic geometry, POV, clarity, rich lush colors and textures in this pristine scene, Bill! The partly cloudy sky makes for a wonderful backdrop. And, there is also a St Luke's Children's Hospital here in Southern California.

Beautiful Bill. My father was a landscape architect - I think they call it here in the States. He designed parks for the city and private owners. He would have loved the lawn, so lush and green.
