Description

I love Springtime in Cornwall. The gardens here are astounding, mainly for the wonderful display of Magnolia's. Caerhays Castle is usually my first stop. It is where Magnolia's first arrived in this country courtesy of the Williams's family who took over Caerhays when in a very delapidated state. They breed Magnolia's and Rhododendron's and the gardens surrounding the castle are a testament to their obvious love of the shrubs. Here is just one of hundreds of images I have taken over the past few weeks.

I can't imagine a castle garden dedicated to magnolias. I have seen 5 or 6 varieties in our downtown Capitol Park. They are remarkable as this photo shows. Great lighting and clarity.
